Formerly known as CFUN, CFUNITED has gone upscale - with over 40 nationally
known speakers and over 1,200 attendees expected to attend over 50 sessions! Started
in 1999 at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda by TeraTech,
this is the seventh annual national ColdFusion event. How is CFUNITED different
from other conferences? It is run by developers for developers. We stop the
marketing fluff at the door so you can learn more from other developers. We
also encourage sessions based on real world experience and real user case studies
so you can see what your collegues at other organizations are doing. Additionally
CFUNITED unites the whole ColdFusion® and web development community.
The venue has changed to a beautiful new state-of-the-art facility: The Montgomery
County Conference Center. The MCCC just opened in 2004, and is right next to
a Metro stop in Bethesda, Maryland - providing easy and direct access from Reagan
National Airport and to all downtown Washington DC attractions.
This is also a great opportunity to enjoy our Nation's Capital over the Fourth
of July weekend, including the Nation's best fireworks exhibition on the Capital
Mall.
What else is expected at CFUNITED?
As well as learning about your favorite technical topics, CFUNITED is a chance
to talk with other programmers and speakers one on one. Bring your business
cards and be prepared to meet a lot of interesting people! Want more? Visit
the CFUNITED Community Suite to hang out with other programmers and shoot the
breeze. Check out the User Group corner and learn about a user group in your
area or meet other MMUG managers. Browse the bookstore for the latest computer
books or get your book signed by the author! We will also have an Internet Café
where you can check email and we will have wireless internet throughout the
hotel.
There will be an exhibitor area where you can meet with sponsors in addition
to other attendees and speakers. There are several sponsors that have contributed
products or other resources to help make the conference a success. There will
be a community pit where attendees can relax, learn, play games, and win exciting
prizes!
